yeah just do what they said im a emo my self and yeah use hair spay or glue lol to spike the back of the hair up or if you want a mohak it may burn the hair a bit but use hair spray and a strinter

Ok i am myspace.com/robdoghihi i found the best way for me to get the emo look is to get a hair straightner, make sure to get heat protecting spray as to not fry hair. Then for me i have to straighten twice a day so it falls flat and doesnt poof on me. Then apply palmade or clay. I should also add my hair is extremely thick so i had to get it thinned a bit so, once again so it wouldnt poof on me. My picture on thier is a month or 2 old ill get a new one soon.

hey that dude with curly hair, what you should do instead of frying your hair with the irons. go to the hair salon and get a CHEMICAL straightner on it. then you will have straight hair full stop. it's like a perm, except for they make it straight instead of curly. styling wise, i've seen your myspace. dude it's a mess. get it cut. you have a fairly long face, so it's best to keep your hair long all around. get it cut just above the eyes and stop the spiking at the back. keep it flat. it won't look a mess. that's for the long hair look. looking at your other pictures with your short hair, personally i think you look much better with short back and sides :P .

well if you want an emo style you need to:
dye it black..
put red or blonde chunks in it.
or maybe other colors.
have long sides and long bangs parted over one eye..

Okay, if you want emo hair you don't nessisarily have to get it dyed black (i know i spelt that wrong XD) It can be basically any color. I have shoulder-length blonde hair and i have my bangs and sides dyed brownish/blackish.
If you have curly hair- chemically straighten it.
if you have straight hair and then there's absolutely no problem.

I was not allowed to "Dye" my hair for a long time(than i just said... Skrew you idc im dying it anyways and dyed it DARK red...) but before when i could no i would use Wash out dye... they have some that wash out in 5 ta 10 washes(if u have Vergin hair... DUR if u have not dyed it u do/ or really light hair like mine) it might Stain your hair (witch really pissed my aunt off and made me happy)but its ok... another way i have heard of is "Dying" it with kool-aid. I have never done this but i have had a friend do it and i do know it stained her sink. i think you should be able to "google" or "ask" for the way to make the "dye". This washes out with one wash.

The only possible way I'd be able to dye it would be with kool aid on a weekend when my parents aren't home... kool aid actually tends to work pretty well on my hair, but even then it can't be too bright or noticeable or dramatic, or my parents will freak out.

never ever ever say you're "emo" or that you want to be an "emo". unless you want to be a social reject that is. anyways, if you want some style with STRAIGHT hair, i suggest looking up some hairstyles at Toni & Guy or something... you know, do a little research on hairstyles and what's popular, you'll find tons you like. you don't have to be "emo" to look good.. a lot of girls and guys don't really care whether your hair is straight, red, black, blonde, brown, curly, etc. as long as it looks good on you... just when you look in the mirror ask yourself, would i tap that? lol. and if the answer is "eh maybe", then you should look into something to jazz up your style. Please do not make your self look tacky or too out of line with clothing etc., it's annoying to see people that want to look good go terribly wrong and look horrible. for example, dont just dye your hair all these colors because "the emo hair web page told me to". my hair is so thick it's not even funny. I used to get it thinned every 4 weeks but that doesn't really help. Since it's so thick it usually takes me three hours to straighten it. It's inbetween curly and wavy. usually i just straighten my bangs and put the rest in a bun.
Sadly with my straightener, i think i DID burn it. I've died it several different colors several different times even if my dad whips me for it. I can endure the pain now. But i think i'm damaging my hair too much. What do i do? my hair is a little past shoulder length.

hey everyone, im a girl and i have really curly shoulder length blonde hair...i didnt want to straighten it everyday but i wanted an emo/scene look...so i got some side bangs and straightened just them and put it over to one side...it is different and makes for a good look....then you can dye the tips of your bangs with splashes of color and what not.

for curly hair:get side bangs. gel, straighten or whatev ..then you can have your curly hair and still have the emo look.just have it curly and rumpled up in the back and wallah you have a kickass emo hair style.trust me it looks great.. also if you're worried about your hair getting dried out from straightening when you shower really condition your hair and put leave in conditioners and stuff in it to try and help...

it is better to have your hair straightned. but you can still make your hair emo/scene when you have curly hair. just cut it the way you want and tease it. then put some gel or hairspray in it.

I'm a guy I have medium brown hair, it's wavy and goes down to my shoulders. my bangs are cut at an angle and swoop from the right to the left. the bangs are cut right below my eybrow too. I dont know what you would call emo hair, but i have dark red hair with light red bits. I tend to straighten it (not that it stays that way) and tease the top. Sometimes I wear plaits which looks cool because of the red bits. I think that it would be awesome if you straighten it dead straight and tease the top. I am NOT emo but my Best friend is sorta, ever since i met her ive been starting to change, i listened to metal before i even met her but i don't dress to match my music. But now i wear the whole skkinny jeans, band Tees bow in hair thing and i think i'm starting to turn scene. Wat do i do to make sure ppl dont think im a fake, i mean im just starting to come out. School starts soon and i want to express ME! but i'm scared ppl will call me a poser. Also i am mixed. Is will it look ugly for a mixed girl to get a 'emo' cut? I have dark brown hair curly hair with blond tips and a left side Fringe but i want shorter hair. wat do i do ppl!!! heeellllppppppppp (I luvvy scene and skate hair!!) could i work it with a Bob? or flip my hair, or just get short layers in the back (i dont want straight hair, my hair gets damaged easily :( thanks ppl) XD XD XD XD XD plz plz plz help me, and sorry if i talk alot lol

Omgz u guys! I'm dissapointed yall rly dnt noe wat 'emo/scene' hair is. Jus take scissors to ur head nd cut. Long bangs.th whole thing is lik b creativ nd do ur own thing. Thts exactly it. Color if u want. I have mad curly hair w red blue blond streaks I jus flattn meh bangs nd its wild sceneish nd mai frend she's lik rockk nd shtuffzz she has plain centr part brown straight hair. And she luks amazinn. Th hair dnt mattr. Its th attitude.she haz th attitude sonn. If u NEED th hair to b scene, ur not scene. Ur fAkiEEEe homez.

for guys to get a emo/scene look, let it grow out,dye it black or have diff colors in it,w.e ur feeling,then decide how you want the cut,and start cuting ur band in a down word angle,the do the rest how you want, dont b afraid,its hair and will grow back,it'll look really good(:
