For All Those with Thick Hair

Thinning shears(or thinning scissors as I like to call them) should be used to thin out your hair. I suggest Massugu thinning scissors as these scissors have been designed specifically with the beginning hairdresser in mind. These are simply gap-toothed scissors that cut only half the hair. These also come with various gap sizes, depending on what you need cut away.

I've seen how many people struggle with thick hair and I can just imagine the pain it is to manage it, hope this helps.

i have super super thick wavy/curly hair and when it dries it poofs to add the mushroom look
The best thing to do when I thinned my hair is to straighten it and not wash it for at least a week so the oils in your hair can sit and make it shiny
also...use CHI before you straighten your hair
it works like a dream
hope my tip helps
:D

I have thick hair.I might look on some other sites to make sure its not damaging and whatnot.
But those who do have thick hair i would recommend this product Frizz ease (extra strength). Its helped me and smooths down my hair.

For the comment to not wash your hair for atleast a week, i would rather call it disgusting cause you kinda have to wash your hair atleast every 2 days. I too have black and curly hair, but i bought this straight on spray that i use everytime im about to straight my hair after a shower, and it protects my hair and makes it easier to straight, you should try it out ;D..

I love thinning shears! I use them on all my thick-haired clients and it completely changes the way the hair lays and it makes it more manageable!

My hair is thick but damaged but I would never thin out my hair! Why would you do it to urself when it'll probs happen to you when ur older?! There's so many tryna get thicker beta quality hair. I was a scene kid until about 6months ago and and emo when I was at school and I also do Japanese styles e.g. visual kei, and I would stil style my hair. It was even beta when I was a scene kid cuz when I had new growth from relaxing, it would make my hair poofier :P
My hairs weird tho cuz one side is thinner than the other, but I've got that side shaved now anyway. But my hair is wavy/curly and it goes straight by its self a lot of the time and I'm 3/4 black and a 1/4 latino wit chinese in me as well.

I know that was long and its not even my life story loool

for people that have really puffy, curly, thick hair, here's what I do: I straighten it, then I actually DON'T wash it for like, 5 days. Before I see any comments saying "thats gross!!" or "You gross bum!" I would like to say that people with thick curly hair don't need to wash their hair often at all. My friend Missy says thats just the way the hair type is. So just do what we said. It reallu helps.
